Hi -
I am moving to Fort Mill (near 21/Sutton Rd). I am looking at my options for Internet and TV providers. I would love to get feedback on pros/cons of your service providers in that area.

Thanks
J

Your options are Comporium and if you didn't want Comporium, you can try Comporium.

Now that is out of the way; your only real option is Comporium. You can go with Dish or Direct TV for TV service or use a TV antenna. Otherwise there is no competition with Comporium.

For internet your choice is Comporium; unless you want to try Satellite Internet which is slow. No one wants to spend the billions of dollars they would need to spend to build out a cable plant to support the area. Since they would have to build out the infrastructure needed to reach each end user. There is no law that says that the local provider has to allow them to use their existing infrastructure.

If you were in the Indian Land or Clover area you might have access to Time Warner out of Charlotte. We are south of the Sutton Road area and to give you an idea of cost we pay $150 per month per home for cable TV digital basic plus ($80.90) and standard high speed internet ($54.95) and the rest is the extra charges and taxes. As a new customer you will be eligible for new customer packages. Ask for them.

Alternately, if you don't like paying the TV Package prices you get from Comporium, you can get something like SlingTV or Playstation Vue

We ditched cable TV and use a combo of Netflix / Amazon Prime / Sling TV and have the basic Internet Package. We pay about $80 a month between internet and streaming subscriptions.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Comporium stopped having their data caps? I can't find anything about it in their "Fair Use Policy".

Spectrum is owned by Charter Cable who acquired Time Warner.

I asked their support and it appears they got rid of the caps

How is Comporium's internet service? Reliable or many outages?
