Thanks for the info! Looking at North Carolina or South Carolina as a place to spend my winters when it's time to retire. I live in the Midwest and absolutely love it here May through December, but the winters are becoming more unbearable the older I get. Still have a few years till retirement but I like planning ahead.

This is definitely on our list of places to look this summer. We are coming out to check areas for relocation the following summer. The final decision will be tied to DH’s job but we’re looking for homes near walking trails and water.

We also currently live in the Midwest and I miss all the trees and flowering bushes from the East Coast.

I'm doing the same thing. I live in the Midwest. We are coming down this summer to look at subdivisions in Tega Cay, Indian Land and Fort Mill for our move next summer. I'm familiar with the NC side of the Charlotte area.
