Hello, I haven't seen a recent post on this and we are now in the position of relocating and are looking at Lake Wylie and surrounding area. Our max budget is 450K.
Coming from an area that floods, does Lake Wylie have any sections I should stay away from? Is it safe to have basements here?
Are the clover schools still really good, elementary, middle? I've seen a mix of reviews on this. Are these considered as good as the Fort Mill ones?
My husband will be working at the airport, looks like there's a few ways to get there from Lake Wylie but the roads look small and I'm not sure of the traffic, any info on new roads/expansions etc?
Any and all inside information will be greatly appreciated!
Hi there, I didn't end up moving to Lake Wylie. We did go there and thought it was a great fit for us and for the commute to my husband's job but after doing some research I saw there was a nuclear plant nearby. Although it doesn't seem that they have had any issues, we just decided to modify our search a bit further east. We moved to Indian Land last month to get a better feel for it and so far so good with the commute but we are focused on the communities in the Waxhaw, NC area. They have good schools, seems more affordable and some communities connect to hiking trails which is an added bonus for us. Hope this was helpful.
