I am in a mild state of paninc. We are coming house hunting the first week in April and my realtor confirmed my fears that there is not much currently on the market within our wish list of things i.e. 5 bedrooms all upstairs, fort mill schools...... Can someone please tell me things will pick up soon.
If we are driving around is there much FSBO ?
We have been looking online forever and the only two houses we liked listed and sold with three days. I am still considering new construction but it wont be done before we move so then I will have to consider renting and i REALLY do NOt wnat to do that.
We found our house when we were out looking at FSBO's (there were plenty when we were looking in August/September - although not the size you are hoping for). We were visiting one fsbo in a neighborhood and saw a sign for another one - it was that second one that we ended up buying after we called to make an appointment for a viewing.
Markets typically see an uptick in homes for sale as the school year starts coming to a close. So I'd think that more houses will start coming onto the market in mid- to late April.
Thanks for the replies. Our realtor suggested we put off our trip but we already have plane tickets and hotel for 7 people plus we really want the kids to see the area before we move so I guess we will keep our fingers crossed. If we do not love anything I guess my husband and I could make a second trip toward the end of April.
