Can anyone provide input on this commute up 49? The maps say 22 miles/37 minutes. Is that pretty accurate? Thanks for any help!

It's not the worse commute. It is better than it use to be, I drove it when it was all two lanes. Highway improvements have helped. You have people driving into Charlotte to work on 49 from Gastonia, York, Clover and Rock Hill. There is quite a few traffic lights all along but it helps slow down those 75 mph speeders.

The time you will be driving in and returning will determine the amount of traffic you will encounter. Right now it is a mess, they are repaving from the Buster Boyd Bridge to the Food Lion Shopping Center. Why I will never know there was nothing wrong with the road and it was relatively new (having suffered through the original widening and paving not to long ago.)

It's not a bad commute now and 37 minutes is realistic some days and other days might take you a tad longer or you could luck up and make it in 30 minutes. All in all it's worth it to live in Campbell's Crossing that is a beautiful development.
