Description: Combining the best of both worlds, Alabama Adventure is an amusement park (Magic City USA) with rides plus all the fun activities one would expect from a water park (Splash Beach) replete with slides, wave pool, and activities. It is the largest such park in the state. The water park is open May to Sept and the theme park is open Apr to Sept. Check for concerts and special events held in a cooled indoor space, a concession to the region’s warm summers. Street vendors selling food congregate on Celebration Street, a shopping and dining area where families tend to hang out in between activities, catching their breath before more fun ensues. A children’s area called Marvel City caters to kids with more age-appropriate attractions. Season passes are available. It is one of the state’s most popular tourist destinations.
