Description: From July to Oct Silverman’s Farm is abuzz with pick-your-own fans, all grabbing peaches, apples, and plums to eat fresh or can over the long winter. However, the real draw here is the animal farm, which brings countless children to its petting zoo every year. Silverman’s has animals you’d expect to find on a farm: sheep, pigs, and goats (which walk across a fascinating raised boardwalk). But, of course, what delights the kids most are the buffalo, the emus, and the llamas. Silverman’s also has a year-round farm market with 18 different kinds of homemade pies, as well as jams, flowers, produce, and salsas. Come here for a picnic or a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch.
