Description: Newly revitalized Rockland is the home of Bartlett Woods, an active retirement center with 14 cottage units and 34 independent apartments. The cottages are suburban homes clustered together in a woodsy area within walking distance of Rockland’s historic downtown. Residents buy into a cooperative equal to the value of their home, which allows them to both create equity and vote on issues that concern all residents. The units are single-floor dwellings with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, a good-size living room, one and one-half baths, and an attached garage. Most have a sunroom. Snow removal, lawn care, and maintenance are all part of the package. Bartlett House is an apartment building with balconies, full kitchens, large living rooms, and one or two bedrooms. All of the services of Bartlett Woods are right here—a library, dining room, wellness center, and even a hair salon. Pets are welcome.
