Description: Students of all ages attend Century College based on their needs, whether to build a foundation for a four-year degree, solely for the joy of learning as a continuing-education student, or to learn a trade. There are classes to satisfy almost everyone’s interest. With more than 12,000 students, Century is the largest two-year community college in Minnesota.More than 80 technical, academic, and occupational programs are offered at Century College, as well as more than 100 degrees, certificates, and diplomas. Students with limited financial means may begin a four-year degree program in numerous subject areas, such as English, geography, and biology by earning associate of arts (A.A.) and associate of science (A.S.) degrees. When students complete their A.A. or A.S. and transfer to the University of Minnesota system or the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU), all credits are accepted toward a B.A. or B.S.Another important function of Century College is continuing education. Century College serves more continuing-education students than any other college in Minnesota, making up 55 percent of the student body.
