Description: You can now fly directly to Branson! The new, $155 million commercial-aviation airport was built entirely with private funds and opened in early 2009 with a spectacular air show. It is a single 7,140-foot-long, 150-foot-wide runway with partial taxiway and is approximately 8 miles south of the center of Branson. It has a 58,000-square-foot terminal with taxi and limousine service and car rentals. Commercial airlines serving the airport include Sun Country Airlines (www.suncountry.com) with three flights per week to Minneapolis and Dallas and AirTran Airways (www.airtran.com) with daily nonstop service to Milwaukee and Atlanta.
