Description: Belterra Casino Resort is located 1 mile north of the Markland Locks and Dam in Switzerland County, Indiana, near Florence and Vevay, about 45 minutes southwest of Cincinnati. Take Interstate 71 south to the Warsaw/Sparta ramp (exit 57), then follow Kentucky Highway 35 to where it intersects with U.S. Highway 42, turn left on US 42 and follow it to cross the Markland Bridge, then turn left to the casino.The Miss Belterra riverboat casino measures 100 feet wide by 370 feet long, employs 1,500 people, and boasts 57 game tables and 1,350 slot machines amid the 38,000 square feet of gaming space on two levels. Table games include blackjack, craps, roulette, Caribbean stud poker, and baccarat. Other games include American Beauty, Cast for Cash, Triple Cash, Triple Play, Game King, Money to Burn, and Monopoly.Belterra charges no admission, and it offers free live music as well. State law no longer requires the Miss Belterra to leave the dock.The Center Stage Concert Hall in the nearby 15-story hotel features the likes of Alabama, the Doobie Brothers, Stephen Stills, Smokey Robinson, the Beach Boys, and America (ticket prices vary, usually from $20 to $50).
