Description: It’s not Provence, but close your eyes and let the scent of two acres of lavender wash over you and it’s the next best thing. The festival’s a good time to visit the fields, the gift shop, and the winery. Plus, over 40 other vendors are there, carrying everything from gardening items to crafts and bath and body products. Stop in the lemonade tent for some lavender lemonade. Food is available—usually barbecue, wraps, funnel cakes, etc. And there are tastings at the winery on the property. Other features include carriage rides and lavender sales (both plants and cut), and the Tulsa Humane Society brings adoptable dogs. Come for a cookie—go home with a puppy. There’s a $5 charge for the festival—children under 12 are admitted free. Parking is free, and professional parking crews make sure it’s easy to get in and out. Check the Web site or call for driving directions.
