Description: The 65-foot Umpqua River Lighthouse is located at the entrance to Winchester Bay and is adjacent to Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. This lighthouse was illuminated in 1894 and replaced an earlier lighthouse that was built on the north spit of the Umpqua River in 1857. You can get to the lighthouse by driving 6 miles south of Reedsport on US 101 to the Umpqua Lighthouse State Park entrance. Tours are available May 1 through September 30.
