Description: You’ll play on a true mountain course here, where five tee boxes are elevated to compensate for the rolling terrain. Two creeks run through the picturesque ninehole course, making your game more challenging in spite of wide fairways. There are two par 5 holes for men and one for women, with a total par 36 for the 3,300-yard course. A practice range, full bar, and grill take care of your needs off the course. Open play means there’s no need to reserve a tee time, but you do have to abide by the rules governing ladies’ day, which begins at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, and men’s day, which starts at 2 p.m. on Thursday. The course opens as early as possible in the spring but for sure by May 1. It closes Oct 31. Hours are 7 a.m. until dark. Greens fees are $18 for 9 holes and $30 for 18. Carts are $14 for 9 holes, $22 for 18. Tomahawk is 8 miles south of Deadwood.
