Description: The emphasis behind this coed, 1,155-student Episcopal day school is balancing challenging academics with community service and other types of extracurricular activities. Courses in religion are required, as are 40 hours of community service and adherence to an honor code. Middle-school students take single-gender math and science courses. Some students participate in foreign or specialized summer programs. All graduates continue their studies in college. Interscholastic sports are a vital part of campus life. The school became established in 1991 through a merger of St. Stephen’s, founded in 1944, and St. Agnes, founded in 1924. After-school and extended-day programs are available. The 15-acre lower school, 7-acre middle school, and 35-acre upper school campuses are minutes apart and easily reached via U.S. 395.
