KDA_3_20111A - --There is sand plum jelly on the counter for sale to customers. The owner said this jelly is made at home by his wife and daughter and sold here at the establishment. COS - he removed the sand plum jelly from the establishment.
KDA_3_30212 - --In the cooler in the kitchen there are unlabeled bottles that the owner identified as ketchup.
KDA_3_50118A2 - --In the cooler in the kitchen there is an open container of ready-to-eat hot dogs that has no date on it, and a container of cut lettuce leaves that has no date on it. The owner said the hot dogs were opened Saturday (8/22) and the lettuce was done no earlier than Friday (8/21). He said normally a whole head lettuce is kept and they just pull off whole leaves at a time rather than chopping the lettuce. He is not sure why this lettuce was chopped. COS - he dated both.
KDA_4_10111A - --There are potatoes in a black basket in the kitchen. This basket is a United Solutions Basic Utility Basket. Online the basket is noted as being for multi-purpose uses, no mention of food. There are no markings on the basket to indicate it is food grade - the potatoes are in direct contact with the basket. Letting the owner know that the baskets do not appear to be food grade and need to be switched out for food grade containers. A call has been placed to the manufacturer for further verification and a return call is expected.
KDA_4_20211A2 - --The container used to store the lettuce is chipped along one edge. A food container on a shelf below the candies that are for sale is chipped on the handle. COS - the owner removed both containers.
KDA_4_60111A - --The interior roof of the microwave has dried food splatter on it. The owner said that he accidentally caused this yesterday with the cheese and forgot to clean it before leaving. The sugar container has sticker residue on the outside of the container. This was identified as remaining from previous labeling on the container. Let the owner know that this sticker residue needed to be removed from the container. There are stickers on the bottom of the black baskets being used to store food (potatoes) in the kitchen. Let the owner know that these stickers need to be removed.

KDA_6_20215A3 - --The back door in the kitchen has a very narrow gap where sunlight can be seen shining through while the door is closed. The thresholds between the two front doors has a gap about 1/8 to 1/4 inch wide where sunlight is shining through while the doors are closed.

In the back dry storage room there are six unlabeled bottles with a blue-ish powder inside. The owner said these are bottles of Ajax/Comet. COS - he labeled the bottles.
KDA_7_20911 - --There is a small employee bottle of lotion on a counter in the kitchen directly above a food prep area, Ziploc bags, and aluminum foil.

Let owner know he should watch his expiration date on the tube of test strips. --Kitchen Cooler: Hot dogs - 42.4 F There is a freezer in the basement. --Ownership checked - notes in business file. --Thaws via the cooking process. --The raw hamburger patties are kept in the freezer and only removed to be placed on the grill and cooked. --There are several empty jars on shelves in the kitchen that are being stored after being cleaned. They have sticker/residue remaining from the original labeling on the jars. The owner said they never use these bars, that they used to store tea in them, but they don't even do that anymore. They are not being cited as they are not being used with food.
