- Kansas World's Fair Artisan and Antique Gallery is an organic blend of handmade Kansas/regional artisans' works and antiques from around the world. Everything in our shop is either handmade, or antique/vintage, or in some cases, both. We feature artisan created furniture, made from native Kansas woods, Osage Orange Fence posts (salvaged from local farmers' fields) and Eastern Red Cedar hardwood. Also Modernist style handmade quilts, with themes such as "The Ocean" and " Geisha Girl". Also original watercolor paintings. And handmade " small lovelies" such as micro-macrame jewelry, scented men's and women's handmade soaps, and potpourri. As for vintage/antique items, we have antique Flow Blue china, R. A. Fox prints (in original frames), Art Deco desk and floor lamps, antique/vintage Valentines (including multiple honeycomb style ones), German Steiff teddy bears, vintage Native American saddle blankets and wall hangings, and Native American vintage handmade baskets. Antique/vintage/handmade items from other countries include: vintage/handmade baskets from France, Thailand, Pakistan; Limoges china; Floral themed ewers from France; English collectable tins; German hunter game plates; Czechoslovakian vases, hand finished with 24K layered gold accents and handpainted ceramic flowers; French vintage hand crocheted tablecloths; wall hangings/throws/runners handmade in India from "Upcycled" saris (traditional Indian dresses).
