Healthy Family Development Center, Inc. is a corporation that was organized for the purposes of educating individuals as well as families. Our country is currently undergoing difficult economic times, with poverty being at an all time high and crime rates rising in urban and suburban communities, our children as well as families need support. We are more fearful than before to arrange a family vacation, allocate that additional time towards our childrens concerns with school, and our spouses concerns with us due to us climbing the corporate ladder and ensuring that we remain focused and avoid missing a step. Unintentionally those attitudes and behaviors harm the level of committment that we have made to our families.
It is not uncommon to encounter a family who is undergoing some difficulties with managing professional obligations while maintaining their commitment to personal ones. We have all known the Mom/Dad who is career focused and providing the necessities needed for their children to lead a well equipped life, but they may find it more than challenging to deal with the unexpected events relating to their child/adolescent's school (i.e., declining grades, etc..) and or home issues (i.e., disagreements with a spouse, etc..). Those types of parents are great and need an award for taking their responsibilities by the horns, but they also need to be okay with asking for HELP.
We at HFDC are here to offer that HELP to families.
