Decor & More was opened in the spring of 2009 in response to the growing demand for a more upscale, yet still affordable antiques and home decor store to serve the growing population of the city of Helotes and surrounding areas. The shop was relocated in 2012 from the near 1604 and Bandera Rd. location to its current, much larger location approx. 1/4 miles past fm 1560 across the vacant lot next to Bobbie J's Burgers. Ooh La La! Decor & More specializes in the unique and eclectic, for those tired of the typical knick knacks, found in most "booth style" antique malls. A select group of buyer/vendors seek out unusual and hard to find items. The owner/operator, Laura Phillips-Curtis collects beautiful, quality european and american furniture, statuary, lighting, art and collectables from numerous sources, traveling to europe to meet with her dealer in Belgium (Marcellino Van Hoof of Antiek Van Hoof) as inventory dictates to restock the showroom A select family of buyer/vendors supply a remarkable supply of various items they have collected, all beautifully and expertly presented within the shop. Home redesign services and a limited amount of home staging is also offered, as the owner is also a certified Interior redesign specialist. With over 4,000 sq. feet of showroom space, Ooh La La! Decor & More is currently the largest Antique and speciality store in the NW suburban area. In recent months, the store has expanded to include gift items such as home made candles and soaps made by a local vendor, boutique items such as clothing, scarves and jewelry, and even providing expert alterations. On most Market Days in Old Town Helotes, several vendors arrive for an outdoor sale of resale items and bargain finds to present the Helotes Re-Market Days, re-sale market. Vendors with a Texas Sales and Use permit can sign up within the store to participate. Additionally, at regular intervals, Ooh La La! Decor & More sponsors such events as Girls Night Out, Customer Appreciation Days, and certain Holiday events that include such activities as wine and chocolate pairing by our local chocolatier, Cathy Locke of Boerne's Cathy's Fine Chocolates, and cooking demonstration by area chefs..
