- JT Specialty Mats and Custom Framing LLC is owned and operated by Teresa Mann, wife of a retired disabled veteran. Teresa has been doing custom framing for twenty years from the east coast to the west coast. Teresa works on the appointment system, offering appointments for her clients from 7:00am - 8:00pm, Monday thru Saturday. Individual consultations are free, no matter if it is for 10 minutes or 10 hours! Recommendations are given for framing any item that a client possesses. Training, education, experience,and passion for the profession makes JT Specialty Mats and Custom Framing a very unique Frame Shop. Conservation practices and conservation materials are the normal standards. Unique designs for mats, shadowboxes, collages, needlework, diplomas, photos, military medals, sport jerseys, plus many other items are created for each client, representing the personal character. In addition to custom framing, other services include giclee printing with the 44" epson printer that uses the Ultra Chrome K3 ink technology; embossing on mats, and books; hard-back binding of poems, children's art, artist or photographer's proofs; graphic disign by a professional designer; professional photographer for wedding, familiy or sport activities. All work is guaranteed to be professionaly completed; items remain in the shop until the client picks it up, which means no transporting to a different location. JT Specialty Mats and Custom Framing is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, the PPFA (Professional Picture Framer's Association), and The Textile Museum in Washington, D.C. The goal of JT Specialty Mats and Custom Framing, LLC is to educate the public about preservation framing, so instead of having an album of family pictures that will get sold at a yard sale or thrown away, the framed item will be passed on to a second generation or in up in a museum! JT Specialty Mats and Custom Framing showcases local artist and craft persons to enhance the arts. The show room's clean air is filled with the aroma of hand-made soy candles!
