The Sandwich Shop opened in mid 2007 and is located at 16 E Robert Toombs Avenue right on the square in downtown Washington, Georgia. The building was built in 1845 and among others was a bank in the early 1900's. The vault is still open. During WWII it was a jewelry store. The seating area seats approximately 40 guess. The food is wonderful and the menu includes 20 or so sandwiches made to your order along with soups, salads and a large selection of deserts. All prepared under the supervision of
Paula Fitzgerald who boasts 25 years in the restaurant business.
