The purpose of this visit was to conduct risk factor inspection.
  • Handwashing Sink / Mix Valve or Combination Faucet , Water at 100°F
    Observation: Water from the handwashing sinks were measured at 70°F.
    Correction: A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least 100°F through a mixing valve or combination faucet. Adjust hot water heater to maintain hot water at 100 degrees or above.

    Observation: The following food item(s) were observed cold holding at improper temperatures using a calibrated food temperature measuring device: (The cooling unit fan was detached) Delfield 2dr cooler: chicken sandwich 48F, milk 48, yogurt 52F, hummus 49F
    Correction: Potentially hazardous foods (time/temperature control for safety food) shall be held cold at a temperature of 41°F or below unless the permit holder is using "time as public health control" as specified under 3-501.19 to limit bacteria growth.---Discarded

  • Critical: Backflow Prevention, Device / When Required (corrected on site)
    Observation: Observed the lack of an approved backflow prevention device on the water supply system. The washer machine connected to the water supply from the mop sink, does not have a backflow prevention device on both hoses.
    Correction: A plumbing system shall be installed to preclude backflow of a solid, liquid, or gas contaminant into the water supply system at each point of use at the food establishment, including on a hose bib if a hose is attached or on a hose bib if a hose is not attached and backflow prevention is required by Law by installing an approved backflow prevention device as specified under 5-202.14.---Both hoses was detached from the mop sink to create a air gap.
