Food permit expires next month. Refrigeration is holding at proper temperatures. Product is holding at proper temperatures. Check fire extinguisher tag for service. Informed by manager on duty that tiles are open in due some maintenance being done in ceiling. Manager on duty is waiting to receive Serv Safe certificate. Informed manager that once certificate is received to have it transferred over to a Norfolk food manager certificate. Facility recommended for permit. Once application and food permit fee of $40 is received and processed, food permit will be issued.
Equipment - Good Repair and Proper Adjustment Observation: Hose attached to mop sink taped due to leak from hose.
Correction: Repair the hose to restore a state of condition that allows for proper operation, accuracy, functioning, maintenance, and cleanability per Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter. If unable to repair the hose, replace it with one that meets the specifications of Part IV, Article 1 and 2 of this chapter.

Food permit and business license need to be posted. Certified food manager need to transfer certificate over to a Norfolk food manager certificate. There is a $10 transfer fee. Viewed food handler cards. Cards viewed are current. Spoke with managers on duty and area manager during inspection. Copy of food handler and food manager class schedule given to area manager. No violation noted during this evaluation.

Two employees need to attend food handler class. Copy of food handler class schedule and food temperature log given to manager. Dining area is clean. Restrooms are clean. Facility recommended for permit. Food permit and copy of receipt issued to manager.
Sanitizing Solutions, Testing Devices Observation: There is no test kit located in the facility for monitoring the concentration of the chemical sanitizing solutions.
Correction: Obtain a chemical test kit so that employees can accurately monitor the concentration of the sanitizing solutions and maintain them at a safe and effective level.

Copy of food handler class schedule given to manager. Copy of food temp log left with manager. Will follow up with manager concerning food handler cards. Duplicate copy of food permit needed. Application left on site to update information.

Correction: A food service employee shall have a valid food service card prior to working in the food service establishment. The person in charge shall not employ anyone to work in the food service establishment until they posses a valid food service card. A food service employee shall have a valid food service card while working in a food establishment.
Conformance with Approved Procedures (repeated violation) Observation: Temperature logs are not being maintained by the establishment.
Correction: Maintain accurate temperature logs.
