During this inspection the facility appeared clean, well organized and in good repair. Discussed cooling procedures for hot foods, employee health policy, storage of meats in the top portion of prep units.
  • Critical: Food - Consumption of Raw or Undercooked Animal Foods (corrected on site)
    Observation: Facility prepares a family style breakfast without providing a menu to customers. Some egg products are not fully cooked (over easy, eggs benedict) per Virginia Food Code. Because there is not a menu, there is not an area with a listed consumer advisory.
    Correction: Provide the consumer advisory: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
    This may be posted in the individual rooms as part of the guest information books describing how breakfast is prepared, and options for substitutes.
