Remarks: Aircraft encountered a flock of seagulls sitting on the touch-down point of RWY 16. Aircraft was in the flare after breaking out of clouds at minimums. Wx at time was 200-1/2 with Fog and drizzle. Seagulls were feeding on clam shells thery had brought on to the field. They use the hard surface of the runway to break the shells open. They drop them from 10 feet up and then feed on the broken clams. (In Rhode Island we refer to the hard shelled clam as a 'quahog'. I think that's an Indian name for clam.)
