ALL ENG INSTRUMENTS LOOKED NORMAL AND NO BURNING SMELL WAS PRESENT SO I FIGURED THE BIRD(S) EITHER HIT THE GEAR OR LEADING EDGE/LOWER PART OF INNER WING. WE REPTD STRIKE TO SYR TOWER BUT AFTER CHEKCING BACK LATER WITH THE DEPTR CONTROLLER THEY SAID THAT NO DEAD BIRDS WERE FOUND IN THE VICINITY OF THE RWY. SO WE CONTD FLT TO JKF. WE INFORMED MX-OPS THAT WE HAD A POSSIBLE BIRDSTRIKE AND THAT WE NEEDED TO BE MET BY MX-TECHS UPON ARRIVAL. THEY INFORMED US THAT WE INGESTED A BIRD IN THE LEFT ENG AND THAT ONE OF THE FAN BLADES WAS BENT.
