Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Receiving Impartation Of Renewed Vision

Posted 09-12-2019 at 11:06 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength." - Isaiah 40:28-29

No matter how good our intentions may be today, in a short time, we will become tired, discouraged, and worn down. Then we will begin to doubt everything that we had been enthusiastic...

Albert Finch Ministry - Daily Devotional - September 12, 2019

Posted 09-12-2019 at 05:34 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Acts 20:24 - "But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus."

The ministry of the Spirit has been entrusted to us. We must be in the place of edifying the Church. We are the representatives of Jesus. He was eaten up with zeal (John 2:17). This intense zeal changes us by the operation of the Word; we do not rest in the letter, but we allow the blessed Holy Spirit...

Albert Finch Ministry - Daily Devotional - September 11, 2019

Posted 09-11-2019 at 02:35 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Proverbs 24:16 - "For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity."

Some people keep going when life is difficult, but others park at the point of their pain. They decide to stay where they are instead of pressing through the difficulties.

Those who are hungry and thirsty will be satisfied. It's time to drink the living water of life and begin to release healing on the earth. Creation is groaning (Romans 8:19,...

Albert Finch Ministry - Daily Devotional - September 10, 2019

Posted 09-10-2019 at 10:54 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

We have been created to carry the glory of God. Hebrews 2 says that through Christ's suffering He brought many sons to glory. It was always God's intention to dwell with mankind.

Once we understand God's purpose for our life we have unlimited potential to advance His Kingdom. There are those who prefer to inhabit...

Holding Fast Our Boldness

Posted 09-09-2019 at 09:56 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

Hebrews 3:6 - "Whose house we are, if we hold fast our boldness and the glorying of our hope firm unto the end."

Many believers, who for a time run well, get so entangled in the business or the pleasure of life, the literature, or the politics, or the friendships of the world, that all the life and the power of their profession is lost.

They do not understand that they must always walk by faith (in God's CALLING on their life) -- that every day and every...
