This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Today we honor a man of 'non-violence', Martin Luthor King. He, along with Ghandi and many others brought thier message to the World, that violence isnt the necessary outcome of every confrontation.

If only we could follow the examples of these 'Men' or 'Women' who preach non-violence and who show the World, that they practise what they preached, and let the people of the World, follow thier fine example.

Should this man have his 'own day' because he was a man of peace? Thats questionable to so many minds, and I leave that up to the Politicians and those who would fight for this Holiday... It doesnt really matter to me, whether he has one or not, but, if this day will make people stop and reflect on how much this one man accomplished, using non-violence as his methods, then by all means, let him have his day, and may we all follow the fine example that he lived his life by.

So much violence is wraught upon our citizens, by the crazies, and upon the poorest of citizens, because they life in poverty and despair, with no way out, or, so they think... But, for those who pull themselves up by thier 'boot-strap' as it used to be called, by getting an education and lifting themselves out of poverty, it would be so nice for them to give back to the community from whence they came.

It seems as if you cant fight the drug dealers, and I cite Mexico as an example. Organized Crime is rampant there, and the drug gangs kill the Police and Political Leaders! What a way to run a Country, when you have to kow-tow to Drug Dealers and be wary of the guy/gal next to you, because he or she may 'off' you, because you may have said something 'off the cuff' about thier gang. The innocents and the guilty are slain, and left on the street for dead, while gangs run rampant.

But, the Drug Cartels wouldnt have any reason to be, if it werent for those in the United States who buy thier products, or ship guns to them. Each one of those, who would purchase some crack, or weed, or what ever illegal drug that crosses the Rio Grande, has blood on thier hands... Though, you couldnt convince them that its 'thier fault' that people are killed, cause they only buy a wee itty bit of drugs, and its not THIER fault that someone is killed, because they were between them pusher and the dealer and those who would recieve the drugs... NOOOO... Dont blame ME, they would say!! Unfortunately, they are to blame, and, Im afraid that the non-violence of Martin Luthor King would have no place down in Mexico, unless it could convince the people to get off drugs, so that the need wouldnt be there to supply them.

My Rant and Rave is done for the day...

I wish you well...
