strawberry banana breakfast crepes
It's nice to get to do whatever one wants to on a blog. So I'm doing another recipe...
There are 2 tricks to make your crepe-making-experience an easy one:
1. non-stick skillet (okay, so it's not really a trick)
2. whisk the flour and milk together 1st thing (with a whisk) to get rid of those clumps
Here's what you'll need:
1 and 1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
4 eggs
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
2 Tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
vanilla yogurt
strawberries
bananas
whip cream (optional)
orange sauce (see below)
For the orange sauce:
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
4 Tablespoons butter
(I know, I know, a bit fattening. All you need is just a bit on that crepe...)
What to do:
1. Add the flour to the milk gradually, whisking away.
2. Add everything else (eggs, butter, sugar, salt)
3. Heat up that non-stick skillet. Add a little butter.
4. Okay, making crepes takes practice. But you'll get the hang of it. Some will look very odd, but don't worry, they taste just the same. I've used a ladle or a measuring cup to get the batter into the pan. You can dip the pan around (off the stove) to get that circle, or use that ladle to smooth things out. I usually take the pan off the heat for a moment while I get that round shape. You'll find your groove...
5. Stack 'em up (overlapping)
6. Stuff with yogurt and banana slices. Fold up. Top with orange sauce, sliced strawberries and whip cream.
Enjoy!

They really are angel! And the reward is worth it. A very tasty treat. Just put some butter down before your 1st one (in the non-stick pan). I also use 2 non-stick pans to cut down the cooking time, have 2 going at once. So once you feel comfortable, get a 2nd pan going. Arguy, you should try 'em. Surprise your family.
