This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Flu Shot

Posted 10-09-2013 at 12:42 PM by woodworkingmenace

Went to the Doctors yesterday, and my Wife and I got our yearly flu shot.

Last night, I had a huge bad reaction to it...

It started out with the sweats... It was only 76 in the house, and everyone else was comfortable, and I was sweating bullets! Wiping my forehead every few minutes, and kept on going.

Wife offered to give me a cold shower, but, I was not feeling up to it, and I was tired to beat the band, so, instead I opted to go to bed.
Wrong move!

I hit the bed, and started to put the top down, (hospital bed), and I stared to get 'bed spins'!! OOOOOOHHHHH Boy, was I getting sicker by the moment...

I upchucked twice, and continuted sweating to beat the band.

Wife came in and put a cold wash rag on my head to try to cool me down, it worked. After awhile, I stopped sweating and settled down into a fitful sleep, sitting straight up!

About 3am, I finally was able to put the head of my bed down, and straighten out my CPAP, (ripped it off my head when I went to bring up the content of my stomach!).

Next morning, when I woke up, my Wife gave me a shower and noticed my injection site, and saw it was red, and about the size of a 50 cent piece.

She called the Doctors, (and of course, he isnt in to day LOL), and left a message about my symptoms and condition, for the next time I go in.

And, since she had to change my bedding, she decided to change the bedding of the entire family... Cooties anyone ROTFLOL

Now I wonder, can I take next years flu shot, and be safe? Is this the product of a 'bad egg' job? Did my Wife get the same bottle as me and not have a reaction, or did we have two seperate bottles, and I got the bad batch? I gotta wonder now, because I dont want to have another reaction like THAT!

I know I will forget, the next time I gotta get a flu shot, but, my Wife will remember, in case they forget to put that in my chart, from the call my Wife made today. (Memory is shot to here and there anymore).

OK, waiting for my Daughter to come home from her new job, and her boyfriend coming to visit with us for the day, (he told my Daughter he wasnt 'comfortable' at our house just yet, and I havent hassled him onoe bit yet, so, go figure?).

I wish you well...

I don't take flu shots for just that reason. Took the Swine Flu shoot in the late 70's and almost died. Never again have I taken a flu shoot and I've been fine. I thought after that, I'll just take my chances.
