This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

House Explosion!

Posted 10-11-2013 at 01:54 PM by woodworkingmenace

Wife woke me up at 7am, for my usual Chiropractic visit and YMCA work out session.

So, I get to moving around and then, finally get motivated to hit the bathroom. While doing my 'duty', I heard a loud BOOOOM!!!

My Son, jumped out of bed and immediately ran, calling for his Mother and asked if I had fallen again... sigh, (fall one time and Im branded for life!!).

I told her it sounded like it came from the other side of the river, and to go and look outside.
She did, and didnt see a thing.

Come to find out, when I got to the Chiropractor, that a house exploded on Hooverson Heights!

Apparently the Gas Company was called, and they inspected the house either yesterday or today, (this is only hearsay, from the fellas at the YMCA), and they said it was OK to go back in...

Well, at about 7:15, the House EXPLODES!!!

Completely obliderates the house, killing one, (suspected little girl we were told at the GYM), and injuring four, (News online, no names yet).

This has been the top news of the day around my house, as people from far and wide have called or emailed and posted on Facebook, about hearing the explosion from as far as fifteen miles away!

It apparently did a lot of damage to the surrounding houses, knocking out windows, blowing off doors from the house and basement doors, and knocking the surrounding house off its foundation!

I sent prayers out to the family, affected by this tragedy, both, to try and get over the death of the youngster, and to get over the hard feelings that they will harbor against those that gave the bad advice.

You know a huge lawsuit is in the making, when they get out of the hospital and start to rebuild thier lives, and pick up the pieces.
I hope that thier friends and neighbors can help them, as much as possible, but, with your house blown up, your lives shattered, its going to take a higher power to look down and mend thier souls, over the loss they have suffered.

I wish them well....

OK, the real scoop on the house explosion. They called the Emergency Squad to look for the gas leak. They couldnt find any, so they told the people it was safe to go back into the house, (neighbors), and then, after they left, a few minutes later, the house blows up, killling thier 13 year old daughter and injuring 4 other people in the house. The house was totally destroyed and its a miracle that the others lived through the explosion, because the only thing left intact was the attached back deck that was blown to the neighbors house!Gas Company still hasnt explained what happened there, and its been quite a bit of time now. (They are replacing old existing lines at this time, in and around all the Cities surrounding the explosion, for some strange reason now..uh huh... bit late on that account, eh?).I wish them well...Jesse

I have been hearing about other cases like this! We had several in our area! They always blame it on Propane and not Gas lines. It just so happens that a Lot of These use propane( But also have Natural Gas.) They alternate to save money!! We dont know about this. It has been known for yrs that all over the Country there are Gas lines in Great Need of Repair and it would be only a Matter of time Before they start to Errupt. Check your outside Gas lines if you have a any gas for your Grills! The pipe Erodes and Gas leaks slowly and Absorbs around the Ground and Finally one day it just explodes. It appears that the lines are not not burried deep enough and the pipes rusts and have they have holes for the gas to slowly leak out. Be Cautious!I never knew this or Would have even thought of it.
