This blog is basically to chart my progress in trying to lose weight...

This is a Record of my daily events including my family when appropriate for my other family members to see if they choose to.

This is my legacy, for my family to read after I am dead and burried. So, any thing on here is meant for them only and if it offends anyone, my apologies, but, its not meant for you and them

Chow for now...

May the LORD Bless all who see this.

I wish you well...

Thanksgiving Day

Posted 12-02-2013 at 02:32 PM by woodworkingmenace

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Day this year.

My Cousins are out of State, so, since his Son was all alone this Thanksgiving, we invited him down for dinner.

He stayed for quite a few hours with my Son, and we think he enjoyed himself. Hope so, because we are thinking of inviting him down for Christmas Dinner also, if he doesnt have any other plans.

He was amazed that my Wife sent him packing with a huge platter of leftovers. She happened to pick up a large cookie platter, and filled that puppy up to the max LOL
He should be able to eat off of that one, for three days we figure. (I never did tell his Dad that we helped him with groceries, cause I figure its his place to tell him, not mine).

My Son now has a concealed carry permit, and he ordered a holster on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. (It finally came in today). I hope its what he wants for his 'sig', for a winter carry. Now, he is looking for one that fits under the trousers for a summer carry, for his revolver.

As soon as I get the addresses ironed out, on all the places we, (Wife and I), moved since I was 18, then I can apply for my concealed carry.
I will either carry my 9mm or my 38 derringer, (2 shot, but, if I cant disable or kill someone with two shots, then I deserve to be a dead man!), not sure yet.

People shoot for the body, but, I like shooting for the throat! If you cant breathe, then you cant fight, (that much I know from my asthma attacks, and not being able to breathe, thats all you give your life to be able to do, and think of absolutely nothing else!!).

Wife gave me her Christmas list, so, I will have to send my 'mystery shoppers' out to look for the various things on her list.
Either my Sister in law, or my Son, (he is getting pretty good at this now, but, for the cross necklace, I will have to go with my Sis on this one).

She still reminds me, about the necklace I bought her one valentines day from the place I used to go and play pinball for hours at a time. It turned green LOL...sheesh. What was I to know about jewerly at 27? I had never bought anything like that in my life! Eh, live and learn, right? It was the thought that counted. Now I buy a huge box of chocolates for my Wife and Daughter for Valentines Day. (I think I wont have to do that, this year, unless her Boyfriend needs a helping hand to give her something, then I may have to pitch in and help him out with buying it for her again... We will see...).

My Cuz is in town!!
He stopped by yesterday and we got to talking a few minutes, then, he started talking to my Son about video games!
ROTFLOL! They spent two hours chatting up a storm, and I actually fell asleep on my easy chair!
Hey, as long as my Cuz had a Great Time, its alright with me! My Son apologized to me for monopolizing my Cuz, but, I nixed that one in the bud quick. I told him that he sent my Cuz away, happier than when he came, so, I dont begrudge him one minute for chatting up a storm.
(All I would do, is bring back old memories of what we did in the past, that he has completely forgotten. I cant see how it is, that anyone can completely forget thier childhood as my cousins have. Though, it wasnt a complete happy childhood for them, so, I guess they try to repress it now, I dont know?).

Well, Wife is here with the Groceries, so, its time for me to do my thing and seperate the meat and pack it away until the appropriate mealtime for each one. (I do more handwashing each time I touch different meats, so I dont cross contaminate them and get someone sick. Who says you cant learn something from reading LOL).

I wish you well...
