Top 5 Reasons a Cat Would Hide its Passion for Barking

Posted 10-23-2014 at 03:44 AM by Zeurich

After I did a joke about cat barking. I have done a little search and I came across this Information.
Does your cat sometimes disappear for hours at a time, leaving you bewildered as to what it spends its day doing? Does it sometimes act guilty as if it were hiding something from you? If you said yes to these questions... you probably have a normal cat. However, if your cat is anything like the barking feline featured in this CNN clip (below), it might rather be named Spot than Whiskers or chase frisbees instead of mice. DoSomething.org decided to assemble a list of possible reasons as to why this cat doesn't want others to hear the canine "bow-wows" he's so passionately been barking.
  1. This poor cat has received inadequate education. Not only did his cat school cut all arts and music education, but no one ever taught him how to be a cat! Without a nurturing environment to practice his meow, he picked up what he could from the neighborhood dogs--a rough bark and a few fleas.
  2. This cat casanova has been struck by cupid's arrow... or perhaps in this case, his dog collar! Our feline friend has locked himself into a veritable "Romeo and Juliet" story of the animal kingdom: in love with the dog next door, a romance that can never be. He was barking not only to declare his love but to bridge the gap between two different groups of people and teach a valuable lesson about seeing past the color or someone's skin... or fur.
  3. In the video, our feline barks and barks, happy as a dog with a new bone, until he realizes there are people around. He may look like a cat, but inside he feels much more like a bone-burying, mailman-chasing canine. Clearly, he's scared to come out of the doghouse and tell the world who he really is. Fearing discrimination, this cat feels the need to celebrate his true feelings in private.
  4. All alone, all day, this lonely kitty was just trying to get someone's attention to tell them the truth: he's being neglected! One of the most commonr forms of animal abuse in the US, neglect forced the now-famous cat to make the loudest noise he could to speak out against his treatment.
  5. Our cat was a victim of bullying from a local gang of scrappy mutts, trying to act big and touch for their poodle girlfriends. Day in and day out they'd chase him home and threaten him with violence until one day he'd had enough. Brave as a warrior and loud as a wolf, this kitty stood up to his antagonizers, not with a meow but with a bark...and their reign of terror soon came to an end.
