9. Long Strange Trip

Wow. I'm nearly exhausted. Maybe all that ditch digging has caught up with me. (Did I mention the ditch digging?)
The wind! MERCY! I worked inside yesterday morning, getting things caught up to accommodate the window washer. He did a great job, btw. And I got a lot of things done. Finished the blinds, got boxes moved to the garage. But the wind started up in full force by afternoon which put a halt to my ditch progress. It continued through the night (the wind) and on into the early afternoon. As soon as it subsided enough, I finished assembling my drain components. Tomorrow I will run a load of laundry and watch the pipes to see how things drain. If all goes well I start shoveling gravel - YAY!! But I need to button it up and smooth the dirt over. No one should ever have a problem with the washer drain ever again.
Car interior is clean except I need to do the windows. I've got most of it packed and am trying to live off of my throwaway clothes and the few items that I can pack in an overnight bag. I'll be pulling clothes from a suitcase that's already packed. Pet food is organized. Toiletries are organized. My kitchen box is mostly done but I'm keeping out a few things I need for living which I can stow easily during showings.
I need a dump run and my worker bee kids are on their honeymoon. I'll put out an all-call for a dump run. I have a loveseat that needs to go and a few items outside. Plus a lawn chair or two.
Quick wedding note: Here Comes the Bride begins to play and she comes flying up in her pickup, doing donuts in the dirt lot.
She parked it, jumped out in her wedding gown, grabbed her dad's arm and marched up the aisle. It was awesome!! I love those kids!
I'm off to Icy-Hot myself down. A full night's sleep would be nice, too. Maybe since the wind has stopped.... Roller skating tomorrow!!!

I forgot 2 things. First, my wood stove is sparkly! Brass & glass clean. Door seal replaced. New wood rack inside. (What are those called?) Grate? I have a new hearth rug to throw down when it shows.
Two - after applying Icy Hot, wash your hands before rubbing your eyes. I've got Icy Hot tears dried to my face.
