Its been a few days since Ive posted anything in my blog, like anything else sometimes I get carried away, i just realized I had already posted 16 on here

Back behind my grandparents old white house and also behind the chicken coop and neatly planted rows of lettuce and beans, was our dog pen. All the time growing up, we had rabbit dogs. Usually Beagles but sometimes Bassetts. For me there was nothing like sitting on the front porch and hearing the dogs bark when they were "barking trail." If youve ever saw Where the Red Fern Grows - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia youll know what I mean.
Anyway one cool fall morning I had went out to feed the dogs and make sure they had plenty of water and noticed something crawling on the floor. Now I guess you could say we pampered the dogs, they had a 12x12 shed with a hole in it that went into a 30x30 pen. The little fuzzy thing crawling on the ground looked like a mole, and I was afraid the dogs might eat it so I got an old Maxwell House coffee can and put some dirt in it and put my newly adopted pet inside. We used old coffee cans and milk jugs for everything.
I petted it and picked it up and it seemed to not mind and all. So with all the enthusiam a 11 year kid could have I bolted in the backdoor of my grandmas kitchen to show her what I had found.
My grandma loved animals and still does. It wasnt anything unusual for us to be bottle feeding a baby goat, or kitten or have baby chickens in the living room at her house. They always made sure that their animals were taken care of, especially when the temperature dropped outside. It just so happened that she was frying something, and had biscuits in the oven when I came in. I tried my best to get her to hold the little darling, but she wasnt about to touch it, she said, "son that thing might bite" so I said no it wont bite see.
Okay, now I did say it had been cool, maybe I should have said in the 40s, cause I guess that mole had been in hibernation mode..cause it was nice in warm in my grandmas kitchen. When I reached down to "pet" it, it showed it tiny little teeth and clamped down on my finger..my first reaction sent the little booger flying in the air..I had jerked my finger and it held on long enough to go airborn and land right inside a pan of melting butter on her stove. Well im not for sure who was more excited, me the mole, or my grandma, she was yelling "get it out get it out" and I was trying my best, and the mole was going round and round in the butter (which wasnt hot yet, which was good for him.)
Well I grabbed the mole and he bite me again, but this time as I flung him, he landed in the dishwater right beside the stove..I was alot more careful this time, and I got him outside as fast as i could. I let him go outside the backdoor and decided next time I needed to pick a better pet

OK. You have gone and done it now. How I'm gonna stop laughing long enough to take some photos down by the river where I played with snakes today. My oh my. Thanks for the laughter and making my day better. I remember the moles in our yard and my dad chasing them out of the garden with a water hose.
