November 2009 Follow-Up

Posted 01-06-2010 at 05:50 PM by Adam DeSilvester

This month was another month of more rainfall and cooler temperatures. San Antonio garnered 2.09'' of rain which is just short of the 2.58'' average and the average monthly temperature was only .7 degrees F above normal. The coolest november we had since 2002.

What had caused the rainfall to drop from the extereme levels in September and October was that the November weather systems were fast paced and there was more high pressure, which caused many sunny days to appear during the month.

San Antonio has had the 5th wettest fall (Sep to Nov) period on record. Just what we needed after our terrible summer...we are now out of the drought...for now! Let's hope we keep seeing atleast average rainfall over the rest of the winter and spring.
