More stress

Posted 09-23-2008 at 07:25 PM by doglover29

Hubby and I had a nice weekend, but this week has been nothing but more stress. Friday night we stayed in and cooked and cleaned. I would have liked to have gone out, because I'd been feeling very cooped up all week, but hubby was tired. We had a nice time staying in. Saturday we went out and did some sightseeing. We took a city tour on a bus and then rented a paddle boat on the Tidal Basin, which was nice. Then we went out to dinner that night. Sunday we went to open houses all day--saw about 5 houses but didn't like any of them.

On to my stressful week--my kitten is still throwing up daily--we have no idea what is wrong with him. We'll have to take him back to the vet for a second time in two weeks--the vet couldn't find anything wrong with him. I'm still having problems from the fall I had a week and a half ago--I fell really badly at home and hurt my hip. My hip still hurts, it hurts some to walk, and I'll have to make an appointment with an orthapedic surgeon to have this evaluated, maybe I need physical therapy or something. There are a few other stressful things going on that I'll get into later. Hubby has been gone a lot lately--the past three nights he's been out doing his extra-curricular activities. When I'm stressed out like this it makes me feel even more lonely. Of course, I don't have anyone I can call to talk about all this.

I invited a co-worker to get together this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that. Though sometimes I wonder why I bother, when it's always just a one-time thing, and they never reciprocate with any future invitations to do anything.

Getting through the rest of the week is going to be very stressful. Usually the way I cope with stress is by sleeping a lot. Last night, though I could not sleep at all--I think I slept for 30 minutes the whole night because I was worrying about a couple of things. I took a 3 hour nap today though. I guess I'll just watch some movies to try to get my mind off things.

I've really been noticing the nights getting longer lately. Even though it's still warm out, the fact that it gets dark at 7:30 now is very hard for me to adapt to. I definitely have Seasonal Affective Disorder. I get a bit depressed in the winter when it gets dark out so early. It seems like in the past two weeks it's been very noticeable how I've felt worse in the evenings because of the earlier nights.

Sure you do. I sent you a DM last week and told you I'd be more then happy to listen if you wanted to vent but never received a reply..

I'm getting to this point as well. I keep reaching out to you but you never reach back. Maybe I'm hard headed, don't know but I'm starting to think that maybe you don't want anyone to talk to.

    Good luck.
