All food and non-food contact equipment and utensils shall be smooth, easily cleanable, and durable, and shall be in good repair. OBSERVED MEAT SLICER BLADE IN POOR REPAIR/LOOSE,MUST REPAIR,OR REPLACE. ALSO PRE-K COOLER FREEZER HAS ICE BUILD UP,MUST DEFROST.
Shielding to protect against broken glass falling into food shall be provided for all artificial lighting sources in preparation, service, and display facilities. OBSERVED NO LIGHTS SHIELDED IN PRE-K ROOM 104. STUDENT EAT IN ROOM. MUST INSALL LIGHT SHIELDS.
The floors shall be constructed per code, be smooth and easily cleaned, and be kept clean and in good repair. MUST CLEAN DEBRIS FROM FLOOS IN JANITOR CLOSETS.

MUST REPLACE TORN SCREENS IN DINING ROOM IF WINDOW OPEN TO THE AIR.
OBSERVED IMPROPER THAWING OF POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS FOODS. FOUND TWO BAGS OF FROZEN HAMBURGER PATTIES AND 4 BOXES OF FROZEN FISH STICKS IMPROPERLY THAWING AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. FOUND SAID FOOD ITEMS THAWING ON THE PREP TABLE ATTACHED TO THE DISH MACHINE. INSTRUCTED MANAGER TO THAW FOOD ITEMS PROPERLY IN COLD RUNNING WATER,UNDER REFRIGERATION AT 40 DEGREES F OR PART OF THE COOKING PROCESS. SERIOUS CITATION ISSUED 7-38-005A.
OUTSIDE GARBAGE RECEPTACLES NOT RODENT PROOF. FOUND 4 GARBAGE RECEPTACLES WITH BROKEN AND CRACKED LIDS. ALSO FOUND THAT LIDS HAVE BEEN GNAWED BY RODENTS CREATING LARGE OPENINGS. ALSO FOUND A LARGE OPENING IN THE BOTTOM OF A RECEPTACLE WITH GARBAGE SPILLING ONTO THE GROUND. MUST REPLACE ALL AFFECTED RECEPTACLES AND LIDS. SERIOUS CITATION ISSUED 7-38-020
MUST DETAIL CLEAN WINDOW SILLS IN PREP AREA AND DINING AREA. ALSO REMOVE SPIDER WEBS FROM FOOD STORAGE AREAS AND UNDER SINKS,TABLES AND LEDGES AS NEEDED.

ALSO FOUND THE DOORS INADEQUATELY RODENT-PROOFED: #2,#4,#7 AND DOORS IN THE GYM(GAPS ALONG THE SIDE, UNDERNEATH AND IN THE CORNERS).
