The WORST COSTUMER SERVICE IN EL PASO by far : ( Last Sunday my mother and I decided to make the far drive from the west side of town(25min) to enjoy what we thought might be a nice meal at La Malinche. Once arrived, most of the tables where dirty. The only clean one's where the ones in the"Section Closed"section. These booths by the windows happened to be the best tables in the restaurant. When the bus boy finally decided to come clean a table for us, I kindly asked if we could please have a booth by the window because my mother has a bad back and the regular chairs hurt her poor back. The busser said no because it would have cost the staff more work since they had to re clean and re mop the floor again. I then asked to speak to the manager. A woman by the name of "NORMA" claimed she was the manager/owner/ the last say in things. She also said that we could not have the table of our choice due to the fact that they still had to mop the floors. I reminded her that the busser had previously said the floor had already been mopped. This NORMA is a bad lair. I asked who her boss is and then she said that there is no boss. After a couple of minutes of trying to reason with her about allowing her customers to have a table of preference she continued to say " we close in 30 minutes, their is no reason for us to have to clean the table again." As a customer who drove far to be there in the first place this seemed like a VERY LAZY thing for her to say. I was finally able to finagle her higher ups name. If she wasn't lying again , the name she gave me was "Ernesto". She said good luck trying to contact him because they were running a corporation so the "boss concept "doesn't really apply to them. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE LEFT WITHOUT BEING SEATED.NORMA seemed delighted that we were leaving. The burden of cleaning another table was to much for her to bare! Today I called La malinche and asked for "Ernesto". A girl by the name of " Carina" answered the phone. She asked who was calling and what was the reason, after I explained the purpose of my call, she was quick to respond in a rude tone," Ernesto is busy he can't come to the phone". I continued to asked, "the manager is to busy for a customer?" Then without any remorse CARINA said... "yes"! He was to busy to speak with a customer!! I then said it was urgent and I would wait until he could come on the line. After waiting patiently for 7 minutes, I was hung up on. I immediately called back and was informed that ERNESTO had just left to the bank. How convenient.
This is the first time I take the time out of my busy schedule to actually sit down and write a negative review on anybody. As a fair ,level headed , frequent customer I feel so sad and disappointed that my visit to LA MALINCHE turned into such a NEGATIVE HEADACHE. I will not only never visit again but make sure I do my best in giving fellow customers the heads up on this place. Furthermore, I will keep trying to get a hold of the person who is really "in charge" and hope that they have better etiquette than the rude employees. Talk about BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's a darn shame!
I would not wish the AWFUL DISSAPOINTMENT we felt leaving LA MALINCHE on my worst enemy : (
