I don't understand what you mean by intimidating. it doesn't make sense. what are you afraid is going to happen if the woman is dark??

I once dated a men from Central Africa, and spent a lot of time around African people from various countries. Dark skinned women are very much wanted. The same thing goes for Caribbean women. The place where dark-skinned women are generally hated is the U.S. Most American men simply have a problem with dark skinned women. A serious problem. A problem that Americans are going to have to get over. The browning of America should be called the darkening of America, because that is more accurate. Those men who don't like dark women will find themselves surrounded by them. Karma will not be their friend.
Most people in the world are not darer skinned.
More like olive skinned and light brown, but not dark as in dark skinned black women.
Asians are the most numerous of any race, and most aren't dark or even dark brown.

As someone has said, make bleaching safer for those that want to engage in it.

All these tanning products and lotions, but they can't come up with the opposite?

Tanning causes cancer, but millions still engage in it.

Are you capable of understanding that different cultures have different beauty standards? You need to recognize the simple fact that people value the look that represents wealth. Akan women have always worked outside and therefore the wealthiest of us would be darker. Akans never valued white skin prior to colonization. In fact most West African descriptions of Europeans are that they were ugly, stringy-haired beasts with skin even worse than that of the Arabs. Come again. Your European culture is not universal. This is so basic but once again ignorance and arrogance combine to bring out the most ludicrous conclusions.
