Ray, that was in '08 and I know that it could be found for less at that time. Market was way down this year due to Copper River's abundant run.

Smoked King is running at $39 per pound at the moment, but that's for premium. There might be some grade 2's out there for less, but I wouldn't know since I don't allow grade 2's on the place.

But you mentioned '08 prices, which I didn't see in the article you posted. Maybe I missed it; it's been a long day. And the article you posted spoke to the price drop this year....

Pikes Place is where you get premium CR salmon. The CR in the stores that were selling it at the beginning of the season were 2nds...not bad fish, but still 2nds.

I apologize. What I meant to say is that it was a little more expensive in 2008 at $50.00 per pound in Seattle. This year it costs from $39.00-$49.00 a pound in the same places of Seattle.
