Most everything comes in by road. Even though it closes several times a winter, it's still more reliable than other means of transportation due to the weather here.

The airport can only handle prop planes, so not much can come in that way. I believe mail is coming on the regular Era flight, but I've heard that packages may be delayed due to space limitations. Crowley can bring in any kind of fuel we need, and Safeway is sending trucks by barge. We have a fairly sparse ferry schedule here, and the city is trying to get the state to increase ferry traffic, but they haven't been very friendly to us in the past so we'll see.

Until something happens to resolve this water buildup it's hard to say what things are going to look like, say a month out. I don't think we're going to get to go play up at the pass this winter though.

Saw some willow buds yesterday down in the chinook affected area between Delta and the Alaska Range. Talked to a Greely weather guy yesterday who said that country reached 60 degrees a week or so ago. Mixed feelings about that

That is amazing. Even here in Arizona, I was floored to see a few springtime flowers in my yard the other day.

Was at the Grand Canyon in mid-January and there was zero snow with daytime highs in the 50's.
