Just some NIK plugins (SilverEfex) for PhotoShop. The one with color is the original.

Yes, except that there are a huge number of plugins one can choose from. NIK Software was purchased by Google, and their plugins are second to none. Then there is OnOne Software, Topaz, and so on. I have these three.

Digital by far has more possibilities... I was impressed as a teenager in the 1980's I had a darkroom that I could not only process B&W but also color film and prints. Now you can point click and know how the photo came out. I didn't know until the next day or so when I developed the film.

And I started doing photography in 7th grade with a twin lens rollieflex camera that took the photos on 2" film. Those prints you could blow up to 11 x 17" without grain and even some cropping. Later of course, I moved to 35MM.

I started out in the 6th grade with I think a Mayima Range finder or a Minolta range finder camera. We bulk rolled and developed our black and white film and printed up our own. I did 35mm all through high school with my own Pentax K1000 camera. I lost that camera in one of my many moves in town. I miss that camera!

Yes, it would be nice to have the camera Dakster used years ago, and a Mamiya. Funny how things work out: back in the late '60s in NY, I had several old film cameras I wish I would still have (collector's stuff), and drove a 1962 Volvo 122-S or so that was in perfect shape. No rust, nothing. I could stand on the front fenders, and they would not dent. It was built like a tank, and the color was quite nice (dark green). Gave it to a friend when I joined the AF.
