The Discovery Channel Buying Alaska TV Show. I think is very realistic. If I was on the show. I would go to the top priced home out of the three. Because it would be total investment in the cabin home. They go for around $350,000. Nome, Alaska on the snake river be good. I would need a lady friend. Back in the 1980's I made a few friends on the telephone of people from Nome.

The football player bought a pretty cool island house. Now all he needs in an underground rocket launcher and he is good to ...GO...

Gold has fallen in price quite a bit. Wonder how that will affect the 'small time' operators and also how many people will flock to the gold areas of AK.

Actually, I was being silly by making a reference to the 1899 Nome Gold Rush, where they measured the size of your claim by swinging a shovel and rotating in a circle. I forget the exact amount, but that one gold rush from 1899 to 1909 alone more than paid for "Seward's Folly."
