I'd rather spend my time and energy fighting destructive but mainstream happenings and thought patterns, rather than some goofballs from Kansas. The media attention makes WBC seem much larger and more influential than they actually are. It's literally a couple dozen people from a tiny church in Kansas. NO ONE takes their "message" seriously (including evangelical and fundamentalist Christian groups), so they can be safely ignored.
