Whats wrong with 75 degrees summer temps? Nine months of winter is a deal killer for me, but 75 degrees in the summer would be perfect.

I agree, summers at 70-75 would be perfect, and winters at least 40 would be nice to go along with it.
Unfortunately there are not many jobs that pay well in places like that, such as Brookings Oregon, or
Eureka, CA.

The climate sounds like ABSOLUTE heaven to me. Perhaps the interior would be a little much but I'm sweating at 70 and not cold enough to toss a jacket on til about freezing. I hate the heat. I think the climate of Anchorage for example would be amazing.

I've visited Alaska and it is beautiful in areas. I would definitely miss the shorts and tshirt, swimming outside, floating rivers and partying in the sunshine on lakes and at the beach if I lived up there.

My parents live in Fairfield Bay on Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas. It's hot and humid all freaking summer. Even the water in the lake is hot. Damn cottonmouth snakes live on the golf course. Before moving to Alaska I grew up in Oklahoma. Hot, humid and tornados. With more snakes. There is a reason why the federal government relocated our relatives there during the Trail of Tears march. It's hell on earth during the summer. So hot all you can do is sit at home under the air conditioner. It's that's the life you want keep it.

What some of you aren't getting is that it isn't a balmy 75 degrees all summer long all over the entire state. What do you think the average summer temps in Barrow are?

I heard a rumor they have this new invention in Alaska to help people deal with the balmy 75 degrees.
They call it...a coat.

I live in northern Sweden and I think 75ish degrees is perfect summer temperature.
Last year we had five straight weeks around 90 and it was horrible.
