And on a side note. All of the residents of Alaska on this forum are not created equal. Some of you think Alaska is it's own country and us lower 48'ers could not hack it. Well, I've been in a lot tougher places and situations than I experienced while I was hiking in AK. I do give credit to true Alaskans whom were born and raised there and can and do live off the land but some of you that moved there and now reside in the Anchorage bowl area think your so special, well hate to burst your bubble but anyone can move to a city and live comfortably. I'm not here to pick a fight, just saying living in Alaska does not make you high and mighty. And for those that wanna blow the bus up, let's destroy mount everest and any other place people die or get injured trying to get to. You really think people won't still hike out to where the bus was? If anything, more will get lost or hurt trying to find the location of where it once sat and now be in more danger with no shelter to escape the elements if needed. And if someone wants to hike out to the bus that is their right, for you's that want to judge us for wanting to explore our adventurous side, keep blogging here, it'll keep you off the trails and out of our paths. Don't judge us, judge yourself.

And yes I do conceder it the bush. It's an overgrown path true, but one that is accessible by foot only. I even saw a trail motorcycle that had to leave his bike less than 10 miles in because it was too tough to manage. I have hiked for a month straight in the Sirria Navada mountains and I conceder it as much as "the bush" as stampede trail

I live in Pennsylvania but have traveled to most states in search of good hiking and backpacking. Regardless what state anyone lives is does not at all show what abilities they have for living with mother nature.

No...some of you lower 48'ers think Alaska is it's own country. We who live here, know for a fact...it's it's own state.
