Me and my husband are looking to move to Alaska. I have some questions, I'm hoping to get some answers.
How can you get to Alaska with out going through Canada?

You can take the ferry from Bellingham to Whittier or you can fly.

Even if you want to go through Canada, there are plenty of places in Alaska that you can't get to by going through Canada.

There are places in Alaska you can't get to by driving through Alaska.

There might be a few places you can get to by waiting until the deep of winter and driving from Russia.

LOL. Really? OP should look into this, or perhaps be a bit more clear with their "some questions".

Here are a couple for you, Rickeyswife. Where in Alaska, and dare I ask what's the problem with going though Canada?

Not sure where in Alaska just yet still looking where the best place to live and there is no problem with going through Canada but we just wanted to know what other ways to get there. And why would i need to go to Russia? If you are able to answer that one.

Flying to Anchorage or Fairbanks for exploring potential places to live is probably your best bet.

The Russia comment was likely made in jest. I certainly wouldn't advise any American to travel there at the present for any reason and it wouldn't help you get to Alaska at all.

I imagine you could snowmachine from the Russian coast to Little Diomede if the sea froze just right, but I wouldn't advise anyone to try it.
