Seriously, invest in sound natural gas companies. I have been for many years and the best is yet to come. Mr. Pickens is lobbying congress right now to push huge government backing of Natural gas infrastructure. And if history repeats itself, the man usually gets his way. NG will will be everywhere, running just about anything and everything. The benefits for Alaska will be huge! The construction of the new system will be huge. Alaska will become weathly beyond most people's expectations, between this and the oil.

Only downside, is Y'ALL best get ready for a HUGE wave of new commers up there. The new gold rush will be under way, soon enough.

Lol, I know...I know...

I think GCI is available in Wasilla but only in main areas with lots of houses. I only know because I just got some greenhouse glass from a lady who works for GCI. I didn't even know they existed until then.

We don't live in an area with alot of houses but my understanding was that GCI is available in outlying areas of Wasilla and Palmer too.

Satch, there is always wireless-if you're lucky. I have "DSL" at home with MTA, and it bites most of the time. And DSL here at work-not far from you, and adequate but not speedy.

As far as a "gas line"...there is so much that needs to be done. It isn't even a license, just an agreement that TransCanada will try to get one done. The Denali Project is more my style-seems everyone keeps forgetting there is darn little gas left in Cook Inlet.

I am outside of Wasilla in a sparsely populated area - we utilize GCI.
