how salmonberries would do in a daiquiri. I think they would probably do okay as long as they were very ripe. I also think that just a touch of cherry liqueur would be a good additive.

Actually, I'm thinking now that instead of the traditional rum for daiquiris, salmonberries might blend really well with pear brandy. There's an Italian brandy that has a pear right inside the bottle--they affix the bottle to the blossom and the pear grows inside of it.

Well, if I make the daiquiris with the pear brandy, I'll have to leave out the cherry liqueur except in possibly the smallest amount. Salmonberries and pears both have such delicate flavor--I'm thinking a slight squeeze of lime might be the best way to set it off.

Its less than a week now Granny. I guess that mead would be the closest liqueur to bear brandy.

The last time someone did that to me, it was a flask full of untaxed corn liquor. Everyone was waiting for me to chug down a swallow. Instead I sipped at it & then was told to inhale, which I did & felt like my throat was on fire.

Met reminds me of an alchemist busy in her laboratory mixing up potions & brews.

Yuppers, I like the sound of her concoctions, potions and brews - I would probably invest in her supplies to be her taste tester????Hiccup
